Hey folks, sorry to take some time off. The year started off quite challenging as my almost six year relationship came to an end. Inevitably a period of self-evaluation ensues.

I also took that time to get myself in better shape and a better mindset. All is good, and I am back with a vengeance!!!

#StopTheWoonacy

In case some didn’t know a couple of huge things happened this past month. First up is the #StopTheWoonacy.

The Stop the Woonacy movement was inspired by my frustration in both the “Woo” (or what people profess to be the supernatural Sasquatch), the common posting of constant contact with “Sasquatch People,” “Forest Friends,” stick structures, tree bends, “BlobSquatchery,” Hoaxes, and people professing to be on the side of science while making factual statements that are obviously complete horseshit.

The movement, campaign or whatever you would like to call it is not to nullify people who claim to have a single, or even a few supernatural experiences with what may or may not be a Sasquatch, but the people who form cults around them professing to have the secret knowledge or special powers to communicate, draw out, have conversations either in person or in their dreams with a Sasquatch and state that as the gospel. These folks are on Social Media ever day with this non-sense.

Someone has to stand up to it and be the voice of reason and point out the ridiculousness of their actions and stories.

Take for example this gem of the “uncloaked” Bigfoot head in this picture the submitter claims, as the Sasquatch have the “ability” to only partially materialize. (Yeah, I kid you not…this is what was said!)

5 - Pareidellia

It is obvious that what we are seeing here is pareidolia. I too used the same effect to see what I believed was in the picture just above the “Sasquatch’s” head.

7- Pareidellia

It’s Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy!!!

I would also like to point out…why is this picture in black and white??? My guess is the head is actually the same color as the foliage as well. Posting this in a photoshopped format (to remove color) and making the claims the submitter does, seems a bit disingenuous.

The Re-Birth of Squatch-D TV

The real big change was the move from Squatchdetective Radio to Squatch-D TV as we finally have found a platform that serves what we have wanted all along.

Several years back we tried Squatch-D TV with the now defunct Paranormal TV Network lineup. We had to use an outside producer who would broadcast remotely and after several months the network eventually shut down because the president of the company wanted to be a grandmother and passed the channel off to someone who was not at all committed to the network.

On this new platform we have just about complete control. No fancy software, no remote producer and is all web based. Not only do we broadcast on multiple platforms, we are able to “screen share” providing video, pictures, audio, live time looks at websites and Power Point presentations.

Multi-streamed over Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Twitch (Maybe more to come) we can now reach over 15K people a week, per episode. The show is streamed Sundays at 9PM Eastern on the following platforms:

http://twitter.com/squatchdet

http://youtube.com/stevekulls

Replays can also be found at

The only loss, currently, out of the new system is the inability to take callers which in the past has proved to be problematic, as the call screening with BTR was a it clumsy. The cool thing is that for our Facebook and YouTube viewers, the comments come across as a chat on our control panel. And we have the ability to share those comments and questions live on the air with the click of a button!

Not having to register for a BTR account to talk in the chat (comments) is really one advantage we have gained and the conversations have been marvelous since airing our fifth show last night.

Who is Jan Klement?

This mystery has nipped at me for several years and about a year and half ago, I dug into the mystery of the book, “The Creature". First published in 1976, recounts most likely the first Bigfoot “habituation” culminating in the death and burial of a Bigfoot called “Kong.”

Now buried in the story-line are a couple of far fetched tales of Kong’s escapades that really should make the reader scratch their head.

Now digging into the mystery I did not only find out the location of the cabin noted in the book along with the potential burial site, but clues within the book and the subsequent volume updates, led me directly to exactly who Jan Klement was and the biggest question; Was the story true?

Unfortunately, I won’t post the spoilers here because one should see how we came to those results and walked through the investigation on the latest edition of Squatch-D TV (August 18, 2019: Bigfoot Cold Case).

We’ve seen this before folks. There has been at one time a fringe element within the Bigfoot community that believed a Sasquatch could cloak, shapeshift, hop aboard a UFO, jump through a portal, and have human qualities.

We usually saw this coming from people who for some reason or another believed in the biological Sasquatch only to get frustrated at their lack of advancement in achieving success that they began to subscribe to these theories.

In the past I have described at length what could cause, scientifically some of these anomalies that people see. Using infrasound (which as explained in the past is not a stretch as  the mammalian orders, some of the largest genera seem to have the ability to use infrasound)

Autism-and-infrasound-0e1

Infrasound can cause vibrations in the eyes, aural canals and effect the nervous system. These can cause hallucinations, feelings of being watched, hearing things, or generally a creeped out feeling. This affects people differently.

So in some of these cases where the Sasquatch told them something, or they may have hallucinated something such as a disappearance or “cloaking” it would seem extremely plausible that infrasound could be the root cause.

infrasound

The other factor at play is the brain’s response to seeing a creature “not yet in the system.” It is a trauma to all, in some wway, and how they deal with that from person to person varies widely. Some of these reactions not only explain some of the weird things people say a Sasquatch can do such as “cloaking”, but more to reality, why people with cameras don’t get a picture or video, or why they don’t necessarily fire a shot if they are hunting, aside from the folks that get a good look at the creature that say it looks human (as do gorillas, chimps etc.).

Also note that some armed folks still in their correct state of mind, use the proper rules of engagement in those scenarios as well such as being a non-threat or shooting because they don’t readily identify such as game.

I say all of this a bit gingerly because for the folks that legitimately experienced these types of reactions, it is real. Remember a person’s perspective (and in this case a legitimate witness) it is their reality. It may be incorrect as to the actual events, but that is how their brains perceived it. So to them it is concrete.

Enter Social Media

Not withstanding, there are some who claim this on a daily basis, weekly, whatever.  They will show pictures where pareidolia takes over and are ambiguous as to detail. I have seen some show pictures of nothing, claiming there was a Sasquatch in the picture cloaked.

“Pareidolia is a type of apophenia, which is a more generalized term for seeing patterns in random data. Some common examples are seeing a likeness of Jesus in the clouds or an image of a man on the surface of the moon.”

As we have seen some of these folks are out to gain a cult like following and try to legitimize their statements and usually they will find some “sheeple” to go along and agree with their every statement and agree to with what they are claiming.

Some of these folks will see the pareidolic effect and make statements to it authenticity.

None of these sites or pages offer any real evidence of the existence of a Sasquatch.

The Habituators

Another group that loves getting a cult like following, although dwindling in numbers, is the habituators or folks that believe they have them constantly living on their property and interact with them daily.

All one has to do is ask themselves, “They talk about it constantly, but where is the evidence?”

Exactly.

We have seen this over the decades, and not a single, interacting habituator can provide us with a decent photograph, DNA, audio?  See where this is going? Evidence, if any, presented again is extremely vague and ambiguous. Sorry, drawings and “gifts” left by Sasquatch does not constitute evidence if you don’t have physical evidence supporting that a Sasquatch did such.

Leaving a “gifting bowl” or anything for that matter on the ground and coming back the next day finding some of it missing with no evidence that a Sasquatch did such, and claiming such is just bad science. There are scores more of the animal kingdom in the forest than just a Sasquatch.

Again perhaps they want to feel special (which is a psychological thing), build a following or get on television.

The Mis-interpreters

The last group I will speak of is the folks that go out and do “research” and come back with nothing but stick “structures” in random areas. No prints, no reports, just…stick stuctures and “nests.” And while I don’t automatically discount these items, without corroborative evidence, it is just again bad science and investigation.

Again you will see the folks trying to make themselves famous, by posting every other day with videos of nothingness. No tracks, not audibles they claim to hear, just a video of them jawing about it.

No here’s the dilemma, because the information all these groups present, who is to say where their intent is without a smoking gun. (An they come few and far between).

So this realm falls into three categories, the wildly enthusiastic, the people who are claiming to know stuff they think they know, and the last group, the hoaxers.

Let’s face it, when it comes to Sasquatch, we actually do know a lot. They are primates, so their general behavior and attitude towards other primates, their curiosity, the mind’s need for stimuli, general living habits, caloric needs, their foot structure should be all pretty well known.

Can they gift? I believe they do, but not in the fashion many of these folks claim. Do they mess around with trees and create structures? I believe they can and do occasionally, just not in the numbers and frequency some people claim. Do they interact with people in a habituation? I believe they have, but the people that experience that are not looking for internet fame or speak of it all that much.

Well anyhow, let’s keep our eyes and ears doing what they do, and always, always, self evaluate your evidence and your experiences.
