Ballyhoo calls it quits??? (At least for now)

I think over the years we’ve proven here that LNP and her Bigfoot Ballyhoo blog, was more like Baloneyhoo.

Well a few of weeks ago, Linda claimed to have thrown in the towel.

Quit

The sad fact is that Perry had a real bad effect on some folks. Check out this sympathetic post for Linda’s cause.

A sad thing in the BF world, Linda Newton Perry has thrown in the towel.
After years of name calling, accusations and hurtfulness she has quit.

To know her is to know she was honest to a fault, naive-yes, innocent as a dove. Her fault lied in the fact she openly allowed anyone to come into her site and write their story. I know her, count her as a friend. I always tried to explain her personality to others as the Grandma of Bigfoot sites; kindly, funny, open and vulnerable.

                                                                                           Internet Post February 15th, 2016

The sad fact is, she WASN’T honest at all. First, when this all started, I tried to inform her she was being hoaxed. Nope she insisted she wasn’t.

1168821

She said if the ESP Team, the team that released a hoaxed picture in 2010, was proven to be a falsehood she would shut Ballyhoo down.

Well it wasn’t long after, not only did we prove the pictures false, but an entire series of pictures proved that the entire ESP team to be a falsity. Of course Linda insisted they were real.

Not only did we reverse search pictures finding stories on her site to be consistently false in the same manner, but we actually had located the REAL people she was using as Bill Emery and Hank Parchell of the ESP Team.

Even despite that, she insisted she was right and we were wrong. Insisted we were the ones lying. And she was not at all nice about it. I mean WE by the way, as there were several of us working together to track down the real folks.

She is not as naïve as people think.

First, she’s a retired Real Estate Broker. Second she writes and supposedly owned a newspaper, or so she claims and is an author.

All of the shenanigans that the site was responsible for can be seen here.

As for her defenders, they are either Linda using sock accounts, or people who should check their own “naivety.”

But for one second, lets suppose we’re in an alternate universe and she was fooled. A reporter that has such a bad track record of being duped for so long, and so often, would have been fired.

There was so many falsities on her blog, that it is a service to the public that it no longer propagates more falsities.

But isn’t there another well known  hoaxer on the west coast that now calls himself quite comically “The Godfather of Bigfoot,” that is constantly being “duped,” as he claims.

Seems to be a common thread amongst some hoaxers. When they are caught…they’re “duped.”

We’d like to wish Linda best of luck in her future endeavors.

Just as Linda has stated she is going to keep Ballyhoo up for archival sake, we as well are keeping the Hall of Shame page dedicated to Ballyhoo up as well for archival sake.

This may be just the last time we have to mention her.

Somehow I doubt it.

Strange, Rare and Unusual Sightings Weekend

Another great weekend and thanks goes out to our gracious hosts in Triadelphia, West Virginia for their venue and hospitality. Speaking  at the engament was a gentleman by the name of Dr. Bruce Kiray DC aka “Dr. Squatch” (who claims to be the #1 Bigfoot Researcher on his YouTube Site) who was grilled by a couple of audience members. Also speaking besides myself was Sasquatch Watch of Virginia’s Billy Willard, Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation’s Doug Waller, Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society’s Dave Dragosin and Dr. Jeff Meldrum, PhD.

Flaw found with Facebook Picture analysis…

Time to print a retraction. Apparently we have learned that Facebook is messing with the metadata on digital pictures. On February 13th, 2016 we ran with a blog debunking a claim and a photo based on six separate factors.

1. When pressed for details to date and time the submitter of the story refused to be specific.

2. The submitter blocked people asking for an original picture.

3. The submitter lied about the number of cell towers,

4. The submitter lied about how the picture was captured.

5. The submitter lied about government response.

6. The metadata did not correspond to the timeline.

Well we always give the truth here, and it looks like all photos from Facebook are being stamped with the same “Profile Date Time.”

Therefore we have to exclude the metadata as a reason for debunking the picture.

When we ran the test on the metadata we used two different sources, so the issue is with Facebook itself and how it alters uploaded photos. Thanks Michele for the heads up!!!

Lesson learned and posted here so others can be aware.

Remember if a person posting a photo anywhere doesn’t want to send you an original copy via email there is a problem.

If they do and the metadata is missing, there is a problem.

If there story changes (other than slight perceptions of distance, measurements and time) there is a problem.

So it still stands that a picture is only as good as the story behind it. This does not change our summation about the photo whatsoever. Since the report, no one to my knowledge has received the original photo via email, nor has the submitter coughed up a specific date or time.

Ruling: Still a Hoax.

More stuff soon to come and getting closer to radio time!!!

Hi gang. Yes it’s been awhile but for much good reason. No… I haven’t taken time off per se, but have been busy setting up the new office, overall a pretty big move and much more, prepping for the upcoming 2014 season. The Office stands currently at about 45% complete but is operational.

There’s also some more, “behind the scenes” doings, but that may come out in time and all is very good stuff.

Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first, but even that is good news so to speak…

Dummy Tour Busted, Broke and Done… The Obituary

Board Room

Citing personal issues, personal betrayals (yet again), a conspiracy (replacing his “body” with a fake dummy), and lack of profitability, what we affectionately call the “Dummy Tour 2014” has seem to have been stalled out for at least 90 days.

This all began a couple of weeks ago, when rumors abounded about several things.

First while in Arizona, nobody wanted the “exhibit,” nor did New Mexico. While in Texas, Dyer was supposed to have shown his Bigfoot “documentary,” after his exhibit and Q&A. That would have been p[particularly nice especially since some people who paid to get the DVD have yet to receive it.

However what he ended up showing was the 1980’s comedy “Harry and the Henderson’s.”  Technically that may have been in violation of Federal Law.

Despite Dyer’s claims of being “sold out everywhere,” it seems he was either spending too much or his numbers were, as we suspect and proven here before, a bit inflated.

There were also unconfirmed rumors he got punched in the puss by someone as well. Again that was unconfirmed. We have Lindsay’s sources saying that someone tore the lid off the box. (I don’t trust Lindsay’s sources at all, after all they were the ones stating how real this was.)

Then we have Dyer marketing dude, Andrew Clacy departing the scene and flying back to Australia, where on his Facebook page, it’s as if Rick Dyer never existed anymore. Thing is, Dyer is looking for a new marketing dude, at least that’s what he’s saying.

Then we had his Florida detour, which seemed to be the last hurrah for the failing tour. “But alas poor Yurick,” we now have the “Blue Light Special,” on Bigfoot dummy exhibits, marked down from $20 to $10 and then finally, pitifully to $5.

And while all this was going on, Dyer, “Lily Dyer,” his babies’ momma, better known as Rosa Contreras Guilbert was dealing with and eviction process back in Las Vegas.

As I have said before, the fall of a sociopath is going to be hard and painful, and the hoax will be a big part of his undoing. Just read this blog from our good friend, Racer-X and you will see the world crumbling under this pathetic individuals feet. Broke, busted, evicted, with family troubles. Don’t feel too sorry. Yet I have no sympathy, he can sell the RV, the trailer…etc.

It seems as though people whom were the “die hard” Dyer believers, well they are starting to finally crack, some may even hold even a little glimmer of hope. Maybe even about the “Camper Video.” But remember we reported it here a year and a half ago, just prior to that video, Dyer purchased a bunch of professional video equipment, so caveat emptor on that. And given the man’s actions, even if it had been real, which it is not, it would have been worthless in value.

We haven’t been wrong thus far yet as to the reality of Dyer having evidence.

This is a sad, sad saga, but I am finally glad to see it come to an end. While it did provide us insight to some whom we saw as authorities, become so fully invested in Dyer’s scandalous behavior, that they became tunnel-visioned unable to see an argument from the other side and apply common sense. They took hard objective data and pushed it aside for the subjective assessments often lead to by Dyer or once of his minions or “sources.”

See folks the sad thing is Dyer likes to accuse people of riding his coat tails. In reality he was riding everyone’s coat tails. He was riding on the coat tails of our good work, our good names, the name of the legend we have so hard worked to prove and for some, our gullibility’s.  He was and still is the “wanna be.”

He wanted on TV and he got that. He wanted attention, and he got that. He wanted revenge, and that quite didn’t work out like he expected.

But what he wanted most, and which he will never get, is to be proven right.

Cabela’s Weekend

As usual we were treated to a great weekend at Cabela’s in Triadelphia, West Virginia for their Strange, Unusual and Rare Sightings weekend, where there was a great speaker lineup including, Eric Altman, Billy Willard, Stan Gordon, Doug Waller, and Dr. Jeff  Meldrum. I had the honor  to be on the dais with these fine people and had the pleasure of spending the weekend with them.

Upstairs in the conference room, we all had tables and this is slowly turning into a WV Bigfoot conference. The event was totally free sponsored by our good friends at Cabela’s and special mention to our host, Bud Forte.

Till Next Time,

Squatch-D

Hey gang, good times, good times!  In a super positive mood this week as a lot of things coming to fruition.

First, the move is on to a new Squatch-D HQ in March. The new facility should be the best biggest yet. So there may be a little quiet streak coming up the last week of February, first week of March.

Road trip anyone???

In March of course, there is the Cabela’s Rare, Strange & Unusual Sightings, at the Cabela’s in Tridelphia, West Virginia.

A totally free event, with Eric Altman, Billy Willard, Dave Dragosin, Doug Waller, Stan Gordon, myself and featuring Dr. Jeff Meldrum.

(Left) Myself, Eric Altman and Billy Willard at the Steve “Indy” Pickett Memorial Barbeque, Salt Fork State Park, Ohio and (Right) Dave Dragosin and myself at the East Cast UFO/Bigfoot Conference, West Moreland, Pennsylvania.

There will be a meet and greet panel on Friday March 14th, and the speaker series on the 15th and 16th. Admission is $0.00, FREE, GRATIS, etc.

Okay time for my shameless plug…will have copies of What Would Sasquatch Do”  available for purchase and of course anyone who has purchased one in the past bring it, and I will make sure it gets signed.

I know there will be some other vendor tables as well and it’d be a great time to get any of Stan Gordon’s books you may have signed and see if he’s got some new ones. Of course Dr. Meldrum will perhaps have his awesome, Sasquatch: When Legend Meets Science there as well.

Series Finales???

Rumors are abound that filming just wrapped for the series finale of Finding Bigfoot, which will air next year,I believe.

findingbigfoot01-e1365019363412

The rumor started when a local newspaper where they were doing what may be the final filming (Humboldt County), in a  Walla Walla, Washington paper ( I always love how that town sounds, kind of makes me wonder if the have a Walla Walla Wal-Mart in town).

Question is, did the newspaper misquote and say series finale instead of season finale. Shows are usually hush hush about whom announces the series finale. Sources around the web are leaning to, that’s it.

I will just sit and wait. Nonetheless I am a bit melancholy to see the program go.

I know, I know, its just entertainment my colleagues say. I agree. But I am a “Squatcher,” and I like to be entertained. The show also opened the door, not only for the shenanigans by some on the down side, but on the good side, did make people a little bit more tolerable to the possibility of their being a Sasquatch.

Not to mention inspiring a future generation of kids, who seem to love Bobo, to keep an open mind and perhaps one day get in the field themselves, much the way The Legend of Boggy Creek was to me and countless others in the 70’s.

Some of the inspirations that created generations of researchers and enthusiasts

Of course media and TV programming is the latter part of the twentieth century’s inspirations but prior to that we had countless books by the likes of John Green, Ivan T. Sanderson, John Keel, Dr. John Napier in the past which set the tone for new researchers.

Finding Bigfoot, having well survived its first season, like it or not, has made its mark in history and developing a new generation of researcher yet to come. Not bad.

A curious note was that the news media was always neutral on the matter until we saw a drop off for about a decade in the late 80’s. Then they turned on us believers with bias. It would seem without adequate reminders that this mystery exists, the news forgotten most objectivity in the matter and now consider it a side show attraction.

BBBtheend

Just my observations, but still no word on Bigfoot Bounty’s renewal, but considering the time it took to cast the previous time, and having my ear firmly to the ground, it doesn’t appear that Bigfoot Bounty will be coming back. There’s just been no real big buzz about it like the time Finding Bigfoot went “wheels up.” Spike did not appear to enthusiastic about the Bigfoot Bounty the way Animal Planet was about Finding Bigfoot.

Speaking of side show attractions…

Dummy Boy has hit the road, and is trying to find a venue in Phoenix  while he lays low near Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Last week we showed you a post where Dummy Boy was selling his little trailer, stating he bought one appropriate for carnivals and fairs, and side shows for that matter. Well this picture turned up from somewhere, showing Dyer did indeed obtain a new, bigger trailer and is not eating the most nutritious food.

1911650_3843098612986_15175521_n

Dyer Watch 2014.

We all know about the venue he has at the end of the month in Houston, and people from reports have been deluging the venue to pull out of the deal. However, here at Squatchdetective.com, we will be having our sources doing their thing at the venue.

Sources state that Dyer’s tour may end in San Antonio near the end of May.

This week on Squatchdetective Radio

Radio2  This week we’re bring back Don Boucher, to NOT talk about dummy boy, but rather about Bigfoot research and Bigfoot in Montana. Join us 8PM EST on Squatchdetective Radio.
