As we have spoken before about recycled photos and others laying claim to them, we have yet another tangled web of folks trying to push their way to the top for attention using recycled hoax photos. But who was really the one pushing their way to the top is the question?

In 2012 a The Bigfoot Evidence Blog shared a picture of an alleged Sasquatch from Happy Camp California allegedly along the Klamath River.

The above picture had been debunked by a researcher named David Timmons clearly showing an obvious hoax submitted to the Bigfoot Evidence Blog which they clearly noted their suspicions in the last sentence of the article.

What caused a stir  a few days ago was a post caught by Hoaxer’s Exposed Group, Darren Lee,  by PacWest Bigfoot.

As of this morning PacWest Bigfoot has removed the post post from site, but what made it more interesting was a group member of the page, claimed it was her photo!!! Both reference it as being taken in Washington State, but as we see from the original claim it was allegedly taken in California.

c post

I attempted to inquire as to how the original poster got the photo, but it seems she decided not to answer, which I find highly suspect.

What is most condemning of the PacWest Bigfoot post, appears to be an embellishment of the alleged submitted story.

What we see is a hoaxed story behind the post of the hoaxed picture on the PacWest Bigfoot Facebook page.  from the person that originally posted, is up in the air.

It is noted, on the PacWest post it as did with the individual posting the hoaxed pic stated the location was Washington, and a male subject as the submitter. Matter of fact, the original source of the hoaxed photo dating back to 2012 stated the picture was from a female from Happy Camp, California. It is noted in the original source narrative, it went from a “her” to a “he.”

Also another interesting note is that in January, after numerous inquiries, PacWest Bigfoot, admits that what they do is for entertainment purposes. David the owner of PWB readily admits creating the back stories to Bigfoot encounters and does not want to be confused with what the really great researchers do out there.

So dear readers, be careful what you read or listen to out in cyberspace. Rest assured what we do is sometimes for entertainment, but it is always the truth, the good, the bad, and the ugly. We always strive, when possible, to source and verify. We will never knowingly put something out there untrue.

The effects of these types of programs on Bigfoot research will be the topic of a future blog.

In bringing the public knowledge about the Sasquatch, it has been a stalwart mission to our readers to point out some of the bad things that go on that generally reflect to public safety and knowledge.

Many hoaxes go on, but I report those that have a continuous or financial impact among enthusiasts and followers of the Bigfoot / Sasquatch phenomena.

Tenet number 4 in our mission statement is that we “have a responsibility to educate.” When we educate to leave out or not to point out the bad, or the ugly that occasionally happens would be an error. Omitting that would be just as some of the things that the less credible or misinformation sites use to their advantage.

As I was collecting thoughts about this week’s blog, the story broke about some guy claiming to work with the government as a Cryptozoologist. First let’s start off by stating the misnomer that some get when the hear the term Cryptozoologist.

  1. It is a term used for someone who studies animals yet to be discovered.
  2. It is not a professional term. Much like the term “Philatelist.”

Now some lately have gotten angry over the use of the term Cryptozoologist, because it sounds like a profession rather than a term for the hobbyist.

A Cryptozoologist is someone simply who studies Cryptozoology, which according to the Oxford Dictionary is, “The search for and study of animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated.”

Similarly a Philatelist is someone who someone who studies Philately, which according to the Oxford Dictionary is, “The collection and study of postage stamps.”

Arkansas

Every once in a great while, making a fraudulent claim in the Bigfoot Community can have consequences. Especially when you impersonate a federal government employee.

Widely reported first coming to us in the Bigfoot Community and a great catch by Loren Coleman’s site, Cryptozoo News some cat by the name of Keith Barnes of Black Rock, Arkansas, was posing as working for the federal government as a cryptozoologist.

Keith Barnes

Given what I have shown above we know that is complete hogwash. But in his false claims prompted authorities to check his computer, they allegedly found child pornography.

Comments on an old article

Over a year ago, I posted about a paid Bigfoot expedition shut down by Federal authorities on Federal park land involving Bob Garrett.

                   Capturephoto

Bob & Brandon Garrett

For some reason almost 14 months later just last night I received threats from Garrett’s son, Brandon Garrett, (I will call him Junior) over the blog which exposed the elder Garrett’s gorilla audio and more to the point, the elder Garrett not returning funds as promised to at least three of the patrons, a sum of $1500. Not to mention the loss of costs they incurred to attend the shut down expeditions.

But that story was pretty much ancient history, but since Junior wants to go on a profanity, trollish and inaccurate tirade, let’s once again, bring it to the forefront.

So there we several questions he asked which I wish to address specifically and understand the questions are edited to remove both profanity and insults.

…do you even have enough decency to really do your home work?

                                                                       – Brandon Garrett

I will not address Junior directly but will direct my answers to the readers of this blog.

As a matter of fact yes I do. This did not start as an expose. More to the matter I was asked specifically by some friends of a couple of people that had lost money to investigate the possibility of getting their money back.

I spent at length speaking with the people who had lost their money to Garrett, received documentation and screen captures of their text exchanges with Garrett. I would consider that homework. And I always crosscheck my material as well.

I even attempted to speak with Garrett himself to resolve the situation. What I found was the elder Garrett refusing and making excuses NOT to give their money back. The story switched from one person involved in the venture when he spoke to the family to another when he spoke to me. He was 100% not at fault, yet the PayPal payment was made out to none other than “Robert Garrett.”

The buck stops there legally. The rest is minutia. Wherever the money went, if its there or not, what ever you claim; Garrett received money, admittedly and evidentiary, for a service he did not provide.

In February of 2016 she had paid for an expedition with the Texas Big Thicket Watch Guide Service, payable to one Robert Garrett, in the amount of $1000.00. Only to be told later that the expedition had been cancelled because they had been shut down by the federal government. When she spoke with Garrett she had asked about getting her money back, but Garrett said he was broke because he had to pay huge fines. If he gave her some time he would pay her back. He eventually stopped answering her calls. –Squatchdetective’s Blog 3/28/2017

Garrett was perhaps, in my opinion, the rudest and ill tempered person I have ever spoke with, simply trying to resolve the situation. Then as I peeled the onion back, another person who never got their money back came forward, and actually another and then the audio of a gorilla passed around, and confirmed by multiple sources, Garrett claiming it was a Sasquatch.

When you have witnesses that talk at length to you and give you everything you ask, and then ask for the other side of the story, and get a profanity laced tirade, with nothing to back up the story, who do you think is the truthful one here?

I think its really funny that you have comments blocked on this.

                                                          – Brandon Garrett

I think its really funny that Junior was mistaken. Actually I don’t have them blocked at all. Matter of fact there were numerous comments made, including a slightly dissenting opinion which a discussion was engaged. For some reasons, the comments were closed. I don’t specifically remember doing it, but it’s really moot anyhow, because it was OVER a year ago. Why all of a sudden now? Can’t help it if you are a “Johnny come lately.”

Any way comments are moderated to keep out profanity laced, trollish and threatening comments and done to promote civil conversation. Had the younger Garrett posted a comment in the section which resembled intelligent, questions and conversation, it would have been approved. In the manner he posed them on an instant message, umm no.

I will also make a quick note that  Junior was not responsible for any of the funds lost to people. I get it. He’s trying to defend his Dad, but there is a right was and a wrong way. The elder Garrett could have avoided everything just by returning the funds which the first family was even willing to get it back a little bit at a time.

But it just goes to prove, Junior’s questions are laced with inaccuracies, and was meant to get a rise out of me, as did the prank phone calls after the initial Garrett expose which I have never before this mentioned.

In truth, I am laughing. (Not with them either!)

Anyway, it’s all there in the original blog “Expedition None,” for one to catch up on if they so choose.

“Fighting disinformation, one claim at a time!!”

As usual, I was dodging around the internet, and love to stop in on Bigfoot Ballyhoo to see the latest nonsense and BLAM…there it was posted within the last couple of days:

BallyhooBS

Of course we know that this is utter nonsense. Let one real person step forward and say that this is happened to them and prove it was because they reported a Bigfoot sighting to the authorities.

“In addition to suspending a driver’s license…”

Whoa…wait a minute LNP!!! As far back as 2010 your claim was proved false by David Paulides when he queried the Oregon DMV.

  • ESP Team Hoax
  • Dale Saxton Hoax
  • “Big Clyde” Hoax

  • 1962 Bigfoot Body (“Jerry Lustin”) Hoax
  • And now the insurance Hoax

BTW, the state cannot cancel you car insurance… only the carrier or yourself can.

Okay so I have remained silent on this one up until recently. The case of Mike Patterson and Sasquatch Ontario and their long list of videos alleging remarkable evidence. Most likely it appears for YouTube monetization hits and subscriptions to his channel (32K subscribers).

   Mike Patterson_thumb[3]sason_thumb[2]

Not for one minute did I believe any of the evidence being put forth by them, but I never really did investigate any of their wares they were selling to the curious public. For the most part I ignored their efforts.

Now when someone says just ignore a hoaxer they will go away, how very wrong you are. They will just keep going until they find a following. In their case they most certainly did.

However, as showcased in the Squatchdetective Hall of Shame page for Sasquatch Ontario, it is very apparent that the ruse is about run its course.

What we get now from Mike Patterson the owner of the account, it a bunch of bullshit that parallel’s Rick Dyer’s 2011 claim that “Men in Black stole my Bigfoot Body.”

Government cover-ups, intrusions, mind speak, and coming to him in dreams now. Not only does it sound like gears are shifting, but he seems to be plagiarizing other “Woo” sites, to attempt to keep it going. A bad, and sad move considering the following information.

Patterson recently posted this Facebook post on March 8th:

Capture_thumb[1]

So here is an open letter to Mike Patterson:

Mike,

I appreciate the fact you have regrets which you have made public via various social media outlets. That is ancient history by the looks of it. It should be applauded that you can change your life after those few incidents in your youth and move on from it. People change.

But saying sorry for past transgressions especially after being caught is only words. Actions speak louder than words.

If you, as you claim, never hide from your mistakes, then why this charade any longer? You are hiding the fact that you perpetrated a hoax on thousands of YouTube subscribers. It’s not a crime, so if what you say, “you never hide from your mistakes", just tell the truth. No harm, no foul and you would gain a lot of respect in my book for doing such.

If you continue this ruse, then you will be like whom I have arrested almost on a daily basis or have arrested in the past. It will be of the opinion, that the only reason why you wore your heart on your sleeve, was for sympathy. The only reason why you are claiming those as the mistakes of the past, was because those were the wrongs you were caught doing.

Prove to us, you are not the narcissistic, habitual lying, living in their own fantasy person that serial hoaxers usually are. Stand by your own words, “Those that are close to me know I wear my heart on my sleeve, never hiding from my mistakes.”

If you are truly sincere in the latter part of your statement, then admit this whole thing was a sham. Maybe it didn’t start that way, but it certainly ended that way. I would be the first to congratulate you on becoming an honest man.

Old Stories from a hoax site continue to plague the noobs

Yes here we are again talking about Linda Newton-Perry’s Bigfoot Ballyhoo. The woman who refuses to see any side other than her mostly phony stories on Bigfoot on her website.

Let’s start with the Miller Document. Well we wrote something on the Miller document sometime ago here: https://squatchdetective.wordpress.com/2015/11/07/the-hoax-fest-begins/.

HA Miller

Yes we know the HA Miller, the alleged writer of the document was not the gentleman pictured above because the document, is dubious. Why is it dubious? Where is the actual document other than what is printed on a site know for its hoaxes and other unverified claims?

Here’s the big highlights:

  • H.A. Miller MD, Ph.D existed. But the one suggested graduated Forestry and Med School long before 1930.

Capture 4

Now on to Jerry Lustin:

Hello, I’m Jerry Lustin and was among the guys who found the giant creature in November of 1962. Bill emery has asked me to write a short comment on this site. I have never wrote anything in my life so bare with me.

Jerry_and_Loren__1960

                                                                                     – Bigfoot Ballyhoo April 7th, 2010

This should say it all…. we found this at: http://www.pbase.com/image/63671108 and it was uploaded in July, 2006.

buzzy

Oh and by the way, the person her site is dedicated to… “The late Dale Saxton,” you know the logger?

dale 2

Well he was there too in the album with Buzzy’s picture, except, this guy is a fisherman, and in the background (which is blurred on LNP’s pics and reversed) you can see the Salmon Charter schedule.

dale

Now what makes me bring up this babble once again, because some the noobs, perhaps trying to make their mark, by exposing this “ground breaking” material, again have brought attention to this garbage, without questioning. Without, cross checking sources.

I challenge anyone to crosscheck this source of the Miller Document, Jerry Lustin, Dale Saxton, the ESP Team, Big Clyde (another Newton-Perry hoax) that originates from a source other than Perry’s Bigfoot Ballyhoo Blog.

In truth she is more of a serial hoaxer than Rick Dyer albeit far less cunning. I can’t keep count at this point.

Sasquatch Ontario

People over the years have asked me the validity of the YouTuber by the name of Sasquatch Ontario, run by a Mike Patterson.

I have never really investigated their claims or audio, but I was dubious of what I heard.

Seems that over the last couple of years information has finally surfaced to firmly put Sasquatch Ontario into the hoaxer category.

Of course now its a government conspiracy and Bigfoot is an alien..yadda yadda.

This says it all:

SasOnt3

                 SasOnt4SasOnt6

And Darryl did provide a sample of that voice, and we played it last week on Squatchdetective Radio. (3/11/18). Case closed, no matter what Patterson has to say now.

And on a positive note:

Spoke with an eyewitness last week about a good visual sighting while driving. Sent some team members out who agreed seems very credible. Soon as the soon cover gets to going, we’ll be on it!

Till Next Time,

Squatch-D
